Over the ⁢past eight ⁣years, the fatality⁣ rate due to severe⁢ trauma‍ has⁤ decreased, but⁢ the disability rate has increased.

In the past, many injured patients were ‍involved in transportation accidents,‌ but due to the aging population, the number of patients‌ with falls and falls has been⁣ increasing recently.

According to ⁢the in-depth discharge injury survey, in 2004, which was the subject of the‍ first survey, there were ⁢669 transport accident patients per 100,000 people, which was more ⁣than 463⁢ fall/fall patients, but⁤ in 2022, there‍ were 998 fall/fall patients, 444 transport accident patients. There were more.

In an ⁢in-depth survey of injured‍ patients⁤ in the emergency room, falls and falls were the most ⁢common at 37.8%,⁤ followed by collisions at 19.4%, transportation accidents at 13.1%, and penetrating injuries at 10.6%.

On this day, the Korea Disease Control ‌and Prevention Agency ⁢will hold an ‌international⁣ symposium marking the 20th anniversary of the National Damage‌ Investigation and Surveillance System at Seoul National University Children’s Hospital. In addition, presentations by domestic and foreign experts ⁣will follow on‍ the topic of damage prevention management and response systems. A government ‍award will be given to 50 people who actively ‌participated‍ in the national ⁢damage investigation and‌ surveillance ⁣project and contributed⁢ to damage prevention.
