BJP MP as President of Wrestling Federation of India Brijbhushan Charan Singh is acting. In this case, the wrestler Vinesh Phogat had accused the BJP MP Charan Singh and the coaches and referees of the national training camp of sexually harassing the wrestlers. Following this, the WIF should be dissolved and a new administration should be formed, BJP MP Brijbhushan Charan Singh should resign, and he should be arrested and jailed, saying that our struggle will not end till then, even Olympic medalists including Bajrang Punia protested against the WIF administration in Jandar Mandar, Delhi. They were protesting for the last 3 days.
Following this, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur called the protestors and held talks. But as no amicable solution was reached for them, they continued the protest. In this situation Union Minister Anurag Thakur held talks again yesterday. After that the protest which was going on for 3 days was called off. Speaking about this, wrestler Bajrang Punia said that Union Minister Anurag Thakur accepted their request and assured that a proper investigation would be conducted against the accused.
Meanwhile, the Indian Olympic Association has promised to appoint a seven-member committee to investigate the allegations leveled against Brijbhushan Charan Singh on the wrestlers’ request.
