Kozhikode> Koyilandy police registered a case of sexual assault against writer Civic Chandran on the complaint of a young writer. The woman lodged a complaint about the incident that took place in April.
The complaint is that Civic Chandan forcibly held and kissed the young woman while she was sleeping on the morning of April 16 and 17 at a house called Kadalapalam in Nandi Cuddalore for the pleasure of the young woman’s book. The young woman had earlier approached Civic Chandran to launch her book and find a publisher. It is said that after that, he continuously harassed the young woman by calling and sending messages to her phone.
The Koyilandi police said that the case was registered by adding non-bailable sections for sexual assault against scheduled castes. The young woman, who was mentally exhausted after the incident, lodged a complaint with the Rural SP last day.
