The Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Bar Council has ordered a ban on Muniyasamy, president of the Kamuti Bar Association, for sexually harassing a female court employee.

Madurai branch judge GR Swaminathan had directed the Ramanathapuram Chief District Judge to recommend to the Tamil Nadu Council to take disciplinary action against Muniyasamy in the complaint.
In this context, the Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Bar Councils have ordered that lawyer Muniyasamy be barred from practicing law until the disciplinary action is completed. He has been barred from appearing in all courts and tribunals.
