Thiruvananthapuram ∙ SFI Thiruvananthapuram district committee has new office bearers. Adityan will be the district president and Adarsh will be the district secretary. Earlier, the secretary and the president were removed for drunken dancing. The SFI district committee took action against four people including former president Jobin Jose and secretary Gokul Gopinath after the video of them dancing drunk at night in the premises of Sanskrit College went viral. They were expelled from SFI primary membership.
Former Palayam area secretary Nandu and area committee member Naseem, who copied the dance of the leaders and complained to the leadership, were expelled from the membership. The CPM has decided to investigate the incidents of the video being circulated and the news being leaked to the media.
The meeting held last day could not decide as there was a lot of confusion regarding the selection of new office bearers. Subsequently, the CPM District Available Secretariat meeting held on Friday reached an agreement on the new office-bearers and presented them in the SFI District Fraction meeting.
