The DYFI leader was expelled from the party after hitting the SFI woman leader on his bike. Ambatiunni, the Alappuzha DYFI block in-charge, was kicked out by the party for knocking down Kerala University vice-chairperson and SFI area president Chinnu on a bike and brutally beating him. He is the former area president and district committee member of SFI.
Chinnu, who was traveling with his friend Vishnu, was attacked after being hit by his bike. Ambadi Unni and the four people who were with her beat her. During the beating, the girl also suffered epilepsy.
They were close friends before. Later there was trouble and Chinnu and some women comrades complained to the party alleging misbehavior from Ambadi Unni. The party investigated the complaint and submitted a report.
