Shabazz Ahmed in squad for Zimbabwe series

Mumbai: Indian cricket team’s all-rounder Washington Sundar has withdrawn from the series against Zimbabwe due to injury. Shahbaz Ahmed has joined the Indian team as his replacement.

Washington Sundar is a young player of 22 years. Belongs to Tamil Nadu. A right-arm spinner and left-arm batsman, he made his debut in international cricket in 2017. He has played Test, ODI and T20 cricket for India. He has played more T20 matches in international cricket. He has played a total of 31 T20 matches.

ODI Series…

In this case, he was included in the Indian team for the 3-match ODI series against Zimbabwe from 18th to 22nd. He last played in the ODI series against the West Indies last February. He played for the Lancashire team in a county cricket series held recently in England. Then he got injured in the shoulder area. So Vashi missed the Zimbabwe series.
