Pathanamthitta: Bhagwal Singh and his wife Laila, accused in the case of human sacrifice for financial prosperity, paid lakhs to Shafi. Shafi took Rs 3.5 lakh before killing Roslin. Before killing Padma, he had bought lakhs from the couple. Shafi bought about ten lakh rupees from them in installments.
It is not clear whether the payment was made through the bank or directly. Police are investigating his bank details. Further investigation into the money transaction will be conducted after the custody is taken.
In the first stage, after taking an advance amount from Bhagwal Singh, Shafi explains the matters regarding Puja to them. Later he took money to bring the woman.
