Kannur: Shahrukh Saifi, the accused in the Kozhikode Elathur train attack case, has been brought to Kerala. The investigation team of Kerala Police is taking the accused to Kozhikode. While coming to Kozhikode, the tire of the vehicle they were traveling in got a puncture near Kannur Melur. The vehicle broke down around 3:30 am. Spent more than an hour on the road with the accused.
The investigation team was to reach Kozhikode with the accused in the morning. But the accused and the investigation team got stuck on the road due to a flat tire. Later the journey continued in another vehicle. Shah Rukh was lying on the back seat of the vehicle. His face was covered with a bucket of water. After knowing that the suspect was inside the vehicle, many people gathered in the area.
After bringing Shahrukh to Kozhikode, law and order department will be interrogated under the leadership of ADGP. The violence took place in the Alappuzha Kannur Executive Express train at 9 o’clock on Sunday night. Maharashtra ATS nabbed Shahrukh Saifi in a joint operation following a tip-off. Shahrukh Saifi was arrested from Ratnagiri railway station. A Motorola phone, Aadhaar card, PAN card and bank ATM card were in hand when he was caught.
