Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders cricket team in the IPL. In this position he is building a ground exclusively for world-class 20-over cricket in Los Angeles, USA.
He said: The plan to build a world-class cricket stadium in the Los Angeles area is a source of inspiration for us and the MLC. It will undoubtedly make a difference in Los Angeles, one of the greatest cities in the world, and in cricket.
Our investment in MLC in the United States is based on our optimism about the glorious future of American cricket. It is an attempt to establish T20 cricket as a global brand. Says Shahrukh Khan.
Americans in general have no interest in cricket. They say it is an attempt to turn them towards cricket. The stadium is being built on 15 acres with 10,000 seats.
