‘Shah spoke to Kiran’; Chief Minister’s proposal to change Vigilance Chief | Vigilance | MR Ajithkumar

by time news

Thiruvananthapuram: MR Ajith Kumar has been removed from the post of Vigilance Chief. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had directed the Home Department in this regard. The order removing Ajit Kumar from the post of vigilance chief came into effect. Accordingly, IG H. Venkatesh has been given temporary charge of vigilance. However, the order does not say where Ajit Kumar has been transferred.

Former Transport Commissioner MR Ajith Kumar was appointed as the Chief of Vigilance in April. Ajit Kumar was given the charge of vigilance along with the appointment of Sudesh Kumar, the director of vigilance, as the DGP of the jail.

The change of head of vigilance is a continuation of the latest revelations made by Swapna Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case, against the Chief Minister and his family. Swapna Suresh had revealed to the media that Shah Kiran had told him that he had spoken to Ajit Kumar on the phone. This is followed by removal from the position.
