Roman Zadorov’s retrial over the murder of Tair Rada resumed today (Tuesday) with the testimony of reality star Shai Mika, who was one of Tair’s close friends at the time of the murder, and one of the last to meet her in the school yard before the murder. According to a report in “Walla!”, Before Mika entered the courtroom, Ilana Rada, the mother of the late Tair, “lied” to her.
It was also reported in “Walla!” That in court Mika described the moments before the murder, adding that she felt threatened and apprehensive. In response, Tair’s mother shouted: “She is not intimidated. She is a liar and a coward.”
Mika then testified: “I was in ninth grade. Tair and I attended the same school, lived in nearby neighborhoods. Sometimes come home together. On December 6, 2006, I met Tair during a break, she was with friends and asked what I was doing. I said. “That I do not study and intend to go home. She said she would not come in for seven hours and we said we would sit together, we would be together.”
“I went to the pergola and waited for her,” Mika continued. “Around 11:05 she arrived. There was a group of boys across the street. We started gossiping about each other, what was going to be done on Hanukkah. Tair put a head on me, then I put a head on her. She played with me on the phone. She took my gum.

“From the moment we met we sat for about half an hour,” she recalled. “She left me and later found out what happened. After about ten minutes I said I would go inside the fountain because maybe she got stuck there in a conversation. I got up after 10 minutes and went to the area there. It was quiet, it was empty. I saw a man pass. In interrogations I described and painted. On the day of the murder, when they said something had happened, that she was missing, I ran with my mother to Ilana’s house. “
She also said: “I saw her enter a schoolgirl. I was in eye contact with her. I saw a man, do not know where he came from. It was important for me to testify at the police station that I saw a man holding something across his arms. “Russian appearance. Every detail that could help, I gave to the police. I described and drew.”
“I also remembered a hat, a long nose, it seemed to me then about 15 years older than me,” Mika continued. “He went up the stairs. It was for two seconds. A fraction of a second. So I did not feel anything. At school there was a sense of security. It never occurred to me that it should be threatened at all. I waited a few more minutes in the fountain area and then sat on a bench. “They sat with me. They made a noise and there was a loud echo and the class coordinator shouted for us to come out and after two minutes there was a ringing of the end of the lesson.”
“I asked someone if he saw Tair, I peeked at bus stops maybe she was there, traveling with a friend, I thought maybe she was back home already. I did not think about the worst and just went home,” she said. Mika then testified that her phone was off at this point because he had run out of battery. She added that she needed glasses and contact lenses at the time and did not wear them that day. “The description I gave was based on what I saw and I said they would do with it whatever they wanted,” she said.

All of Shai’s statements as well as the report on the memory refresh were submitted as part of her testimony.”
In 2016, when Mika participated in the reality show “Big Brother”, her mother, Bella Yifrach, rejected the allegations made in those days, according to which Mika allegedly lied in her testimony to the police. In response to these allegations, the Northern District Attorney’s Office stated at the time: “There is no determination in the court’s ruling that Shai will lie in her testimony, statements, or impose any defects on Shai’s credibility. “And among the last who saw her alive.
