Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir commented this evening (Wednesday) on the blockade of the barber shop in Tel Aviv, where the Prime Minister’s wife Sara Netanyahu was found, and wrote on his Twitter account: “A group of privileged anarchists who cannot come to terms with a stinging loss in the elections and the loss of power, complain about the Prime Minister’s wife and to hell with freedom . “Democracy, dammit.”
Large police forces arrived at Madinah Square and rescued Netanyahu from the barbershop. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Yariv Levin: “The siege of the Prime Minister’s wife, Mrs. Sara Netanyahu, is insane and unprecedented. Those who thought that anarchy would stop with roadblocks and jumping on tables in the Knesset, found out tonight that when violence and disturbances are allowed, it doesn’t stop there.”
“It is time to apply the rule of law to those who speak in the name of the rule of law, but trample on the law and the individual rights of anyone who does not think like them,” added Levin. Economy Minister Nir Barkat: “I am shocked by the violent siege on Prime Minister Sara Netanyahu’s wife.
This is an illegal and violent act and a strong action must be taken against anyone who acts violently in the State of Israel. Every citizen is allowed to demonstrate, but there is no excuse for anarchism and violence. I call on the police to put an end to this immediately.”
