The ugly incident happened a few days after the school’s principal gave a lesson to the school’s students about anti-Semitism. Robert Dodd, principal of Walt Whitman Middle School in Bethesda, sent a letter to parents of the school yesterday (Saturday) with the ugly news, as Montgomery County police are still looking for whoever did it.

In his letter, David called on anyone who has information about the incident to come forward and confess his actions, adding that “this behavior is abhorrent, extremely offensive, and will not go quietly at Walt Whitman High School.” The school’s Jewish Student Union and staff worked together Wednesday to give the entire school a lesson on anti-Semitism, he added. The exercise included student descriptions of their personal experiences in high school, the principal noted.
