On the 9th at 1:30 PM in Sydney, Pakistan and New Zealand will meet in the semi-final, and on the 10th at 1:30 PM in Adelaide, India and England will face each other. The winning teams will participate in the final on the 13th.
Some cricket commentators and former players are publishing their predictions about which teams will qualify for this final. In that regard, former Australian team player Shane Watson has also released his prediction.
Shane Watson Interview:
In it, “People expect India and Pakistan to clash in the final match. When these two teams clashed in the Super 12 round, I was elsewhere due to commentary duties. Didn’t watch the whole match. All those who saw the match said that it was great and thrilling. It’s sad not being able to see it. Like in 2007, my expectation is that the two teams will meet again in the finals,” he said.
India is great:
Indian team performed well in the Super 12 round. Among the batsmen, KL Rahul, Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav are in rough form. India is also performing well in bowling. Thus, it is considered that India has a bright chance of winning the trophy this time.
Likewise, the Pakistan team performed superbly in the last two matches. Even though the openers were out, the middle order batsmen were active and scored runs. Also, Shaheen Afridi is back on form and is bowling brilliantly. As Haris Raub and Nashim Shah are also bowling effectively, Pakistan team has an equal chance of defeating New Zealand and progressing to the finals.
