The situation in the country is gradually returning to normal. However, there is a security risk due to the absence of police. Bangladesh national cricket team has to pay in all aspects. They are not able to practice the Pakistan series due to security risk.

Therefore, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to send the national team to Pakistan. Nazmul Hasan Shantara will leave Dhaka for Pakistan 5 days before the pre-scheduled time.

A BCB source told RisingBD that the team will fly to Pakistan on August 12. Earlier it was scheduled to go on August 17.

The two-match Test series will begin on August 21. The match will be in Rawalpindi. The second match will be in Karachi. It will start from August 30.

Although the practice has not officially started, the cricketers have been preparing themselves individually since last Thursday. Some cricketers including Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Taskin Ahmed, Mehedi Hasan Miraj came to the field. The same trend continued even today.

Before this, the official program of the tour of Pakistan was supposed to start with a fitness test at the Bangabandhu Stadium on Saturday. Last minute fitness test was held in Mirpur.

A practice session was scheduled for later, but was canceled due to inclement weather. Since then, virtually everything has been shut down as the country has been rocked by a movement to topple the government.

Even if the cricketers can come, there is a problem due to the security of the foreign coaches. The board is not taking the risk of coaches not getting clearance from their respective countries’ embassies and security clearance from law enforcement officials.
