Dhaka is in turmoil in the students’ movement, the country is in turmoil. Cricket activities do not stop in between. The Bangladesh national cricket team is gearing up for the upcoming Pakistan tour.

As part of the preparation, a fitness test of the cricketers will be held at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday (03 August) at 6 am. After that practice will be held at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

BCB cricketer operations in-charge Shahriar Nafees confirmed to RisingBD over phone. He said that the fitness test will be held at Bangabandhu Stadium from 6 am to 6:30 am.

The cricketers will return to Mirpur after half an hour of fitness test running. Practice will start from 10 am at Home of Cricket. Training will begin yesterday under the supervision of head coach Hathurusingh back in Dhaka.

Earlier, on April 20, the cricketers ran 1600 meters in the athletics of Bangabandhu Stadium. After 3 months they faced the same test again.

Meanwhile, BCB is keeping a close eye on the students’ movement. If the situation is not favorable, different thoughts will be given.

Shahriar Nafees said, ‘Yes, so far our program is on. The management is keeping an eye on the situation, so far there has been no change.’

Amid the ongoing situation, the preparation camp of the Tigers was going on in Chittagong under tight security. After the camp, the cricketers have already returned to Dhaka. This time the practice will start with the potential cricketers of the Pakistan series.

The Bangladesh team is scheduled to travel to Pakistan on August 16 to play a two-match Test series. The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi on August 21 and the second in Karachi from August 30.
