At the close in Tokyo, the Index advanced 0.06%.
The best performance of the session on the Index came from shares of Electron Tokyo Ltd. (TYO:), which rose 3.53%, corresponding to 760.00 points, trading at 22,260.00 at the end of the session. Meanwhile, the shares of Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd. (TYO:) added 3.31%, or 317.00 points, ending the day at 9,886.00, and those of Ebara Corp. (TYO:), advanced 3.27%, or 55.50 points, to end operations at 1,751.00.
The worst performer of the session was shares of Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd. (TYO:), which fell 8.64% or 499.00 points, with shares trading at 5,275.00 at the close. Taiyo Yuden Co., Ltd. (TYO:) declined 4.10% or 127.50 points to end at 2,984.50, and Terumo Corp. (TYO:) declined 3.19%, or 85.50 points, to 2,597.50.
