Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and , sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Helsinki, the Index advanced 0.85%, reaching a new 1-month high.

The best performance of the session on the Index came from shares of Kone Corporation (HE :), which rose 1.82%, corresponding to 0.86 points, trading at 48.04 at the end of the session. Meanwhile, the shares of Konecranes ABP (HE:) added 1.72%, or 1.05 points, to end the day at 62.10, while those of Cojamo (HE:), advanced 1.56%, or 0.14 points, at the close of operations at 9.47.

The worst performer of the session was shares of Cargotec Corp (HE:), which fell 0.33% or 0.16 points, with the shares trading at 47.50 at the close. Valmet Oyj (HE:) declined 0.31% or 0.08 points to end at 25.70, while Kemira Oy (HE:) declined 0.09%, or 0.02 points, to 21.62.

Advancing stocks outperformed bearish stocks on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 117 to 48, while 23 were unchanged.

Brent crude futures for October delivery rose 2.23%, or 1.72, to $78.94 a barrel. In other commodities, crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.38%, or 1.74, to reach $74.75 a barrel, while gold futures for delivery in December rose 1.16%, or 29.30, to trade at $2,546.00 per troy ounce.

EUR/USD rose 0.57% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.

The Dollar Futures Index, in turn, increased 0.66% at 100.73.
