Constable Maria Gill posted at Guzri police station in Karachi has been suspended for irresponsibly posting her video on TikTok while on duty, DIG South Syed Asad Raza ordered the suspension of the lady constable while SSP A report has also been sought from South.

It should be noted that the federal government has banned the use of social media without the permission of government employees, in this regard an office memorandum has also been issued by the establishment division.
According to the memorandum, government employees cannot use media platforms and any application without permission. This decision has been taken to prevent disclosure of official information and documents.
In the memorandum, it has been said that government employees should abide by the Government Servants (Conduct) Rules, 1964, a government employee cannot express opinion or rhetoric on social media without permission, strict action will be taken against the government employee for violating the instructions.
