Sharjah opens world’s largest safari park Sharjah is home to the largest safari park in the world outside of Africa. The park was inaugurated by Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. The safari park is rich in wildlife and a variety of animals that allow you to experience the African landscape and forests.
Sharjah Safari, located near the city of Al Dhaid, Sharjah’s agricultural suburb, has a unique natural setting. The site was chosen close to the agricultural area as it is a natural area suitable for forests. The park is spread over an area of eight square kilometers and is home to 120 species of African animals. In addition, over one lakh African trees have been planted here. The park is home to endangered animals. Sharjah Safari Park has been expanded from a small park.
Hours are 8.30am to 6.30pm daily. Tickets range from 40 dirhams to 275 dirhams. The development of the safari park is part of the development of eco-tourism, cultural heritage, historical sites and adventure tourism.
