by time news

Panic broke out on a beach in the Canary Islands of Spain when a shark came ashore, startling bathers.

In a video that has gone viral on the internet, a fin can be seen moving toward the beach, and as it turned out, the first shark was accompanied by a second.

The incident, which of course caused terror among the bathers, occurred on Gran Canaria, the third largest island in the Canary Islands.

As the bathers saw the fin slicing through the waves, they erupted into screams, while a woman ran away at the sight of it. The shark then changed direction and eventually returned to the sea.

Last June, alarms had also sounded in Gran Canaria after the appearance of sharks very close to the shores.

It is noted that the incident was recorded a few days ago and underscores the level of danger due to the appearance of shark species in Spanish waters.

Last June, alarms had also sounded in Gran Canaria after the appearance of sharks very close to the shores. Among the sharks was a 10-meter hammerhead shark.

Immediately after its appearance for the second consecutive day, lifeguards ordered the bathers to exit the water at Melanara beach on the eastern coast of the island. The sea predator was spotted by a Spanish coast guard drone.

Additionally, in May, tourists and locals were unable to approach a beach in Menorca, with authorities issuing a special ban due to fears of a shark attack.
