Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Police will continue to investigate the Parashala Sharon murder case. The legal advice given by the government pleader is that there is no legal impediment to investigate Kerala or Tamil Nadu. Sharon’s parents reached the Chief Minister’s office and filed a petition requesting that the case not be transferred to Tamil Nadu. Sharon’s father Jayaraj said that even though the Chief Minister was not present, he was assured that the Kerala Police would investigate him. Investigating Officer DYSP KJ Johnson informed that the Supreme Court judgments had also been examined and there was no legal impediment to investigate the case.

The Kerala Police had some doubts about the jurisdiction of the case. The conspiracy to kill Sharon and the execution, the destruction of the evidence and the recovery from Thondi are all in the Tamil Nadu area. Meanwhile, the death occurred in Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. A case has been registered by the Parashala police. Concerns were also raised that if someone raised these issues while going to trial after filing the charge sheet, the case would be affected. Legal advice was then sought.

Greeshma, who was in the medical college hospital after drinking lotion from the washroom while in police custody, was discharged yesterday evening. Then she was transferred to Attakulangara Women’s Jail. Amma Sindhu is also here. Sindhu and her brother Nirmal Kumar will be taken into police custody today. The police will apply for custody of Greeshma today. He is expected to be taken into custody tomorrow. It is intended to bring all three people together. The Neyyatinkara court has directed the investigating officer DySP to appear today.
