Shashi Tharoor said that he has not worked against the party and does not think that he is doing anti-party activities. Shashi Tharoor said that DCC President was called from his office and informed about the event in Kottayam to the District Congress Committee. He said that he was invited by the Youth Congress and that there are four speeches on Saturday and Sunday at different places. He added that people who could not attend one program should come to another program.
He said that the Youth Congress had invited Kottayam for the Maha Sammelan and he was going to participate in the program there by accepting their invitation. Shashi Tharoor added that he does not understand the reason for the controversy. Thiruvanjoor Radhakrishnan MLA, who is also the chairman of the KPCC disciplinary committee, said that he will not participate in Shashi Tharoor’s program. Thiruvanjoor had also said that he was staying away from the program because he did not inform the district congress committee.
