As expected, Xiaomi introduced another model to give the Civi brand, presenting spectacular design and quality, branded selfies for the young audience.
One of the highlights of the Civi 1S is the back of the device which has been given a particularly shiny look and a convex design to the sides both front and rear with a gilded aluminum frame all around. Moreover, it is among the thinnest devices that can be found today with a thickness of 6.98 mm and a total weight of only 166 grams.
The Civi 1S hardware upgrade is not big compared to the first Civi launched last year. This model also comes with an OLED screen, size 6.55 inches and a refresh rate of 120 Hz with a resolution of + Full HD. It supports HDR10Plus and Dolby Vision standards, with a maximum brightness of 950 nits as well as 10-bit color and a pixel density of 402ppi.
It is based on the Snapdragon 778G Plus processor compared to the previous one without the Plus, as it comes with 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR4x memory and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage for UFS 2.2.
The camera setup is slightly enhanced when it comes with a 64-megapixel main camera this time with optical image stabilization (OIS). A pair of additional lenses, one ultra-wide with an 8-megapixel sensor and the other is a macro with a 2-megapixel sensor.
In the front of the hole in the screen is a 32-megapixel camera with auto-focus and a variety of retouching tools and effects that will make selfies perfect. This includes the Beauty Portrait 2.0 mode which the company says uses advanced machine learning to enhance the images. In addition, Shaomi has also incorporated the CyberFocus technology that allows you to track the eyes of the subject as already introduced in the Xiaomi 12 Pro.
The Civi 1S comes with a battery with a capacity of 4,500 mAh with support for fast charging with a power of up to 55 watts, allows full charging of the battery in about 45 minutes with Quick Charge + 4 technology. Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6.
The price starts from $ 355 for the basic model and up to $ 450 for the most expensive model in the 12/256 GB configuration, when it went on sale early in China. It is not yet known if it will also reach the international market.
