Shaumi will officially announce the 12S series on July 4th

Xiaomi has announced that it will hold an announcement event for the Xiaomi 12S series on July 4th. As usual, Shumi prefers not to save too many surprises for the event itself, and has already announced in advance that this is a series of three devices. Beyond the base Xiaomi 12S there will be Gram and Pro versions and Ultra. All three will be the first to arrive with Leica lenses, following the collaboration announced about a month ago.

The company also made sure to leak photos in advance through its social media channels where the devices can be seen, especially from the back. A close-up photo of the Xiaomi 12S Pro reveals a look almost identical to that of the Xiaomi 12 Pro that has already hit stores, plus the Leica symbol under the lens array.

As for the specs, it seems that all three devices in the series will come with Qualcomm’s relatively powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, with most of the differences listed in the screen section – the resolution and refresh rate. The Pro and Ultra models may also come with ultra-fast charging support.

Although the upcoming launch is aimed at the Chinese market, there is no doubt that Omi will market at least some of the devices in the series in the West as well.
