Dressed in a white T-shirt and a black jacket, “Fedha” appeared on the Twitter account of the current affairs website Kuwait News on Saturdaywithin a project that is still in the testing phase.

“I am Fedha, the first presenter in Kuwait to work with artificial intelligence in Kuwait News. What kind of news do you prefer? Let’s listen to their views,” she says in classical Arabic.

The website, affiliated with the Kuwait Times (KT), the first English-language daily in the Gulf founded in 1961, is testing the potential of artificial intelligence to propose “new and innovative content”KT editor-in-chief Abdullah Boftain told AFP.
