The public exchange of blows between Ralf and Cora Schumacher seemed to be over. But now the 47-year-old is attacking her ex and making serious accusations.
In July, Ralf Schumacher made his relationship with his partner Étienne public and celebrated his coming out. Before that, the ex-professional racing driver had lived publicly as a heterosexual man and had been married to a woman, Cora Schumacher. She then claimed, disappointed, that she had only found out about her ex-husband’s new relationship from the media. This led to a public war of roses. Around a week ago, things calmed down – until now.
“Hello, first of all after a long absence. I’m feeling a bit better again,” the 47-year-old addressed her followers and emphasized that she had not lost her smile – even if that would make many people happy. An announcement followed: “And I will – let me think about it – keep my name. Now more than ever. Now that everyone is upset about it. I actually intended to give up this name,” said Cora Schumacher.
In August, she announced that she would like to go back to her maiden name Brinkmann. But the TV star has apparently changed her mind: “But no, that has cost me enough pain and heartache. Cora Schumacher is my brand, which I built up independently on my own.”
She also didn’t want to do her ex-husband that favor. The ex-racing driver added accusations: “I’m going to make up for what he’s burdened me with: namely, ten years of suing me until the roof comes off. Legal costs. So that I don’t tell anyone that I found out at the end of the marriage that the Danube isn’t an island. And that he was gay the whole time and I’m not crazy,” said Cora Schumacher. “I’d think it would be great, I’d think it would be really nice and, above all, very fair if he would make up for it. And not to mention our son, that he at least sorts that out.” The relationship between mother and son is shattered.
Ralf Schumacher has not yet commented on his ex-wife’s declaration of war. It remains to be seen whether he will react and whether the war of roses will soon enter the next round.
