That is the case of Alicia Framis, a Spanish artist who next year will become the first human to marry AiLeix, a hologram created by Artificial Intelligence. Yes, marry AI.
The Catalan artist has already been living with her hologram partner for several months, which, according to what was created with a combination of the best of her previous relationships. It is so real that, as she has told the media in her country, her partner generates responses and emotions.
“Holograms are closer to your emotions than robots. Love and sex with robots and holograms are an inevitable reality. “They are great companions and are capable of expressing empathy,” Framis said on Instagram.
The wedding will be real and legal, and will take place next year in Rotterdam, Netherlands, with real guests and others produced by AI. But in addition to that, “the hybrid couple” will go to live in a house they are building in Menorca, one of the Balearic islands of Spain.

The union is part of The Hybrid Couple, a project carried out by the artist with her AI partner in which technology specialists evaluate the results of the combination of art, technology and emotions in this romantic relationship with AI.
“Through a series of innovative performances under the title ‘the hybrid couple’, Framis will now share his life and emotions with this unique Artificial Intelligence entity in the form of an interactive holographic sculpture. This allows him to address contemporary themes such as post-humanism and virtuality. At its core, it is an innovative exploration of human relationships at the intersection of art and technology,” reads The Hybrid Couples Instagram profile.
The project will be presented in the Netherlands after the wedding and then hopes to go around the world.
