Sheep farmer injured after attack by wolf in the Netherlands, police shoot animal | Instagram VTM NEWS

A wolf bit a sheep farmer in Wapse, in the Dutch province of Drenthe, this morning around 7 a.m. when the man wanted to chase the animal away because his sheep were being attacked.

The farmer tried to drive the wolf away with a pitchfork and a shovel, but was bitten on the arm. This damaged his tendons. The man has been taken to hospital.

Mayor Rikus Jager of the municipality of Westerveld has decided to shoot the wolf after consultation with experts.
