Popular producer Mustafa Saryar Faruqi. In his production career, he has given many popular plays and films. He produced long serials like ‘420’ with political stories. He can be seen talking about various contemporary issues outside of work. He chose social media to express his thoughts.

Faruqi has been active on social media since the beginning of the anti-discrimination student movement. Even after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government in the popular uprising, she has maintained that continuity. He regularly gives his opinion and advice on various ongoing issues. A few days ago, Al Jazeera published a documentary about former Awami League minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed. It is known that Javed’s money laundering information is worth thousands of crores of rupees. This time the producer Mustafa Saryar Faruqi spoke about this issue.

Faruqi gave a long post on his Facebook on Saturday (September 21) evening. At the beginning of the article titled ‘Khya Khaya Khaya Khaya’, the filmmaker said, ‘After watching the Al Jazeera documentary about Awami Minister Javed’s money laundering of thousands of crores of rupees and 360 houses in London, many things have gone through my mind. But Javed’s smile is still ringing in my ears over all the questions and anger. The laughter in this khakykhaka is their mockery of Bangladesh.

Javed’s smile is not his alone. Referring to Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana, Mustafa Saryar Faruqi said, ‘This khakykhake smile is not Javed’s alone. There are thousands of looters including Hasi S Alam group, Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Rehana, Benazir, Aziz, Basic Bachchu. This is the smile of all those who made the country boil in the last 17 years. This is the smile of those officers who have disappeared and killed hundreds of people. Those who have lost their fathers, those who have lost their children—this bitter laughter pierces their ears like spears. This bitter laughter is piercing the ears of the families of the officers killed in the BDR mutiny like spears.’

Throwing a question, Mustafa Saryar Faruqi said, “You must remember, a few days ago in the third level interview, BDR incident investigation coordinator Captain Subael said that Sheikh Hasina ordered him to change the investigation report. Sheikh Hasina kept that serving officer of the army hidden for 340 days in order not to change. Can you imagine where the state went? Could it be called a state? Or did it become a festival of some mafia robbery, murder, disappearance syndicate?’

Thanking Al Jazeera, “Television” famous director Mustafa Saryar Faruqi said, “Thanks to Al Jazeera for making such a documentary.” I appeal to this government and the government that will be elected after that, you arrange to present the crime records of these 16 years through audio-visual medium. He highlighted the pain stories of the affected people. I know it will be many, thousands of episodes will run out but this series will not end. But our job is to document this for future generations. It can be fiction, a mix of fiction and documentary. It can be in various hybrid formats. We have to do these things so that in the future no political party, no political leader, dare to become a fascist in any way.’
