“Through this endowment project, the aim is to sustainably feed millions of people. Ensuring ongoing charity and benevolence to the people of the UAE. One in ten people in the world is hungry. As believers it is our humanitarian, moral and Islamic duty to extend a helping hand to the needy and feed the hungry especially during the fasting month. An endowment is an act of continuous good, like the dispensing of water from a well. A small permanent contribution is better than a substantial amount that ends up being cut. May Allah guide us all to good. Let us protect our country from all evils’ – he noted.

The One Billion Meals project aims to provide sustainable food assistance to poor people as part of the UAE’s contribution to the global scale through an integrated food distribution ecosystem. This project has been successfully implemented during Ramadan in previous years as well. Anyone can donate money by credit card, SMS, directly to the bank. Visit: https://www.1billionmeals.ae/en/
