jpnn.comSOLO – The Sheikh Zayed Solo Mosque, built by PT Waskita Karya (WSKT), is preparing to welcome worshipers for Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri prayers.

The mosque, which is a grant from the United Arab Emirates government to Indonesia, is preparing to accommodate 15,000 worshipers.

Deputy Director of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Solo, Bagus Sigit Setiawan, said that Eid prayers at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque will start at 06.30 WIB.

Sigit also appealed to the congregation to arrive early so they can get a row in an area that is guaranteed to be holy, rather than in a park or other place.

As for the 2024 Eid al-Fitr prayer imam at the Zayed Mosque, KH Agus Ma’arif, KH khatib Abdul Karim Ahmad Al-Hafidz and senior bilal qori KH Ma’shum Ahmad Kamal.

Waskita’s SVP Corporate Secretary, Ermy Puspa Yunita, said that the Sheikh Zayed Solo mosque was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo together with the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in November 2022.

“Waskita completed the construction of the Sheikh Zayed Solo Mosque in 17 months starting from May 2021 to October 2022. Now the mosque, which is designed to be similar to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, has become a new icon that has captured the hearts of local residents and visitors from all over,” Ermy said.

During Ramadan 1445 Hijriah, the mosque, which has a building area of ​​8,400 m2, provides 7,000-10,000 portions of takjil and a large meal for breaking the fast. Apart from that, the mosque management involved around 80 MSMEs in Solo to make takjil and 22 caterers who have certificates for large meals.

Waskita completed the construction of the Sheikh Zayed Solo Mosque in 17 months from May 2021 to October 2022.
