After Carlos Zamarripa resigned from her position as Prosecutor in the state of Guanajuato, the president Claudia Sheinbaumcelebrated the decision of the official, who remained in office for 16 years.
“It is good that the prosecutor has left office, it is evident that he didn’t do a good job“, mentioned the president in her ‘Mañanera’ conference.

From the National Palace, President Sheinbaum insisted that Guanajuato is the entity in the country with the highest number of homicidesand only from October to December, the entity registered an increase in said crime.
Likewise, President Claudia Sheinbaum said that in Guanajuato there is a “failed development model”and the entity reports the lowest income in the entire country, as well as the highest number of addictions.
Meanwhile, the governor of Guanajuato, Libya Garciaappointed Zucé Anastacia Hernández Martínez as provisional prosecutor after the departure of Carlos Zamarripa.
