Stichting Dierenopvang De Wissel draws attention to shelter animals every week. It is now about Hero, a hangover of twelve years old.
Because he increasingly attacked the visitors and daughter of his previous owners, the difficult decision was made to find him a new home.
Hero is a tomcat who is very picky about who he trusts. When he knows you well, he is a sweet hangover who likes to cuddle and look up for attention. “He only does this if it fits into his agenda,” says employee Welmoed on behalf of De Wissel. “He can be quite fierce with strangers. Its previous owners kept it aside when visitors came, and it always worked out.”
He gets along with other cats. He even tolerated the neighbors cats in his house. Dogs are a different story, because he slaps and scratches them quite quickly when they come near him. He likes to be outside and on the road.
,, His previous owners indicated that everyone was allowed to pet and lift him outside. He also comes to you for a hug,” continues Welmoed. ,,Unfortunately we have not (yet) been able to see this sweet affectionate side. He doesn’t think we can be trusted yet. Hero is therefore looking for that owner who wants to trust him completely and who wants to go through a door together.”
