(24News) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and member of the National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat rejected the notification regarding his expulsion from the party as fake.
In his statement released on social media platform X, PTI leader and MNA Sher Afzal Marwat said that he had discussed with PTI core committee members and senior leaders, there was no discussion on the party expulsion order. Neither was brought to the notice of the core committee while the chairman Barrister Gauhar was not even aware of the order to expel me from the party, the PTI leader questioned why the controversial order was issued in a dubious and hasty manner. “Today I discussed all matters with Barrister Gauhar and asked him to decide his party and parliament membership in writing,” Sher Afzal said. “I have given full authority and I have full confidence in him,” he said, “I will also call a grand jirga of the people of my constituency to get their consent because the will and consent of my voters will be most important to me. He said that he also regrets the language used in the notification by Firdous Shamim Naqvi, who besides using sarcastic language has demanded his resignation from Parliament without the approval of party chairman Barrister Gauhar. He said that I also confirm that no one gave me an opportunity to be heard and no inquiry was ever made, fake notifications were issued for wrong reasons in the past as well, he added. Based on the above mentioned facts, I reject this notification of dismissal as fake and against the facts and procedure and I will meet Imran Khan soon and bring the facts before the public.
On the other hand, Information Secretary Shoaib Shaheen has said that former chairman PTI Imran Khan did not disagree with the decision to expel Shirafazl Marwat from the party, the notification of Shirafazl Marwat is genuine and has been issued, a show cause notice was issued to Shirafazl Marwat first. He had gone, but he continued to give statements against the party discipline, after which he was expelled from the party.
