Shi is my best friend; Better partnership with China: Vladimir Putin

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Chinese President Xi Jinping is his closest friend and the partnership with China is unprecedented. Putin’s response was on Thursday.

“Russia’s relationship with China has reached an unprecedented level. Xi Jinping is a close friend,” Putin said.

Russia and China signed a ‘no-limits partnership’ just a few days before Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine last February.

Russia is currently trying to strengthen its political and economic ties with China in the context of tightening sanctions by European countries and NATO member countries including the United States.

Meanwhile, in the context of the re-election of Xi Jinping as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and the President of the country, the relationship between Russia and China and the relationship between Putin and Xi are likely to strengthen.

Xi Jinping has been elected as the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party for the third time in a row.

The CPC Twentieth Party Congress, which lasted from October 16 to 22, re-elected Xi to the leadership position.

Meanwhile, eight months have passed since the Russian invasion and invasion of Ukraine. Last February 24, Russia launched an attack (as they claim a special military operation) in Ukraine.

Russia responded by intensifying its efforts to join NATO, the US-led military alliance.
