Shinan-gun was selected as an ‘excellent institution’ for regulatory innovation in cities and counties in Jeollanam-do. Shinan-gun announced on the 23rd that it won the Excellence Award at the ‘2024 Jeollanam-do Regulatory Innovation Performance Sharing Conference’ held at the Shangri-A Beach Tourist Hotel in Mokpo.
This evaluation selects organizations that have taken the lead in regulatory innovation work among the 22 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do, and is evaluated on ▲strengthening the capacity to promote regulatory reform, ▲improvement of central government laws and autonomous laws, and ▲performance of the regulatory verification responsibility system, etc. It was an item.
Shinan-gun submitted eight key improvement tasks to improve unreasonable central regulations, of which two, including the revision of the Enforcement Decree of the Fisheries Cooperatives Act, were accepted (including partial acceptance) and the revision process is in progress.
In addition, we are listening to the voices of citizens regarding regulatory improvement through various regulatory communication channels such as the Regulatory Reform Report Center and the Visiting Local Regulation Reporting Center, and are continuing efforts to improve unreasonable practices hidden in autonomous laws and internal guidelines.
Lee Jeong-soo, head of the Planning and Strategy Department, said, “Next year, we will also work hard to discover regulations in areas that have a high level of impact on people’s livelihoods.” He added, “By discovering and improving unreasonable regulations that have existed as a practice for a long time, we will add vitality to the local economy and create ways for residents to feel better.” “We will push for close regulatory innovation to bring about real change,” he said.
Meanwhile, Shinan County Welfare Foundation (Chairman Kang Jeong-hee) announced on the 23rd that it had received a donation of 1,200 bags of rice (10 kg) (equivalent to 30 million won) from the Mokpo Shinan City-gun branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Chairman Ahn Jong-pal), requesting that it be used for vulnerable groups such as underprivileged neighbors.
Nonghyup Bank’s Mokpo Shinan City-County branch is practicing sharing through consistent donations to welfare foundations. At the beginning of the year, it donated 50 million won to support low-income families, and in celebration of the Lunar New Year, it provided rice cake soup worth 5 million won and distributed 70 schoolbags to students at public children’s centers. We continue to practice sharing for those in need in our community, such as by donating dogs.
At the donation ceremony that day, Branch Manager Ahn Jong-pal said, “I felt happy about donating 1,200 bags of Love Rice, and I hope that the donated rice will help our neighbors have a warm winter.”
Chairman Kang Jeong-hee expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you for practicing love for your neighbors, and we will make sure that the donated rice is delivered to the underprivileged in Shinan-gun with our hearts in mind.”
Park Woo-ryang, mayor of Shinan-gun, said, “I am sincerely grateful to the Mokpo Shinan-si-gun branch of Nonghyup Bank for consistently practicing sharing for those in need in the local community. We will do our best to realize flawless welfare.”
Heuksan-myeon (Chief Choi Young-jae) received donations worth 100 million won from People Sharing Hope (Chairman Kim Jeong-an) on the 20th to relieve the sense of alienation and ensure a stable life for residents of Heuksan Island, the southernmost part of the country.
Heuksan-myeon, which is made up of 11 islands, has poor transportation conditions such as frequent restrictions on ferry operations due to strong winds and storms in winter, so we plan to deliver the goods to fishermen and vulnerable groups in island villages who are having difficulty purchasing necessities for daily life from the mainland. .
Chairman Kim Jeong-an of People Sharing Hope said, “As the end of the year approaches, we hope to be helpful to the residents of Heuksan Island who need attention and care due to poor living conditions. We will continue to show interest and cooperate to become warm companions in the future.”
Shinan County Mayor Park Woo-ryang said, “Thank you for your interest in Shinan County and for practicing hope sharing once again, following June of this year, to promote the welfare of the island.” He also said, “We expect that the supplied goods will be of great help to the safety of the island residents, and we plan to create an island that people want to live on.”
