jpnn.comJAKARTA – The LCT Cita XX ship carrying Base Transcriber Station material from the Ministry of Communication and Informatics’ Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (BTS Bakti Kominfo) from Timika to Yahukimo has lost contact since Wednesday (17/7).

BAKTI Kominfo President Director Fadhilah Mathar said that the Joint SAR Team was dispatched to search for the LCT Cita XX ship which lost contact in Papuan waters.

“Regarding the loss of contact with the LCT Cita XX ship carrying BTS BAKTI Kominfo material, we can convey that the search is still being carried out by a joint search team involving all parties who have information and SAR search capabilities,” said Fadhilah in a press release, Monday (22/7).

He said that on Monday (22/7) at 08.05 WIT, the Joint SAR Team departed for the waters of Pulau Tiga District.

This team consists of elements from the Navy, Polairud, and regional SAR teams.

They used one KRI unit and one helicopter to conduct the search.

The first team to depart from Timika, used the Indonesian Navy’s Patkamla Yapero Ship to conduct a search in the middle of the sea.

Meanwhile, the second team, which departed from Asmat, used the Basarnas RIB to comb the shallow waters.

The LCT Cita XX ship carrying BTS Bakti Kominfo material from Timika to Yahukimo lost contact in Papuan waters since Wednesday (17/7). The SAR team was deployed.
