The Israeli actress Shira Haas, who became famous in the world market after starring in the “Rebel” series that aired on Netflix, will continue her engagement with the streaming company and will play in another series in their production. The name of the series will be Bodies, and Haas will play alongside Stephen Graham (Empire of Evil), Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (Queen’s Gambit), Kyle Soler (Inheritance) and Amaka Okapur (Respondent). BODIES is based on a graphic novel that was a huge success in the UK and will now be distributed worldwide. In the series Shira Haas will play the police investigator, the detective Maplewood, the series will contain eight episodes.

She is currently working on her next series – a mini-series about the life of Golda Meir in which she will play the former prime minister, a series produced by Barbara Streisand. In addition, Haas was the first Israeli to be nominated for an Emmy Award in the lead actress category in a mini-series, and was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Haas recently served as a judge at the International Series Festival “Series Mania”.
