“With the presence of so many persons in the perimeter of the warehouse, it is assumed that someone may have made a mistake. During the inspection, all traces must be investigated and the mechanism of the event must be reconstructed. The significant facts have not yet been established, a basic inspection of the scene – in the focus of the fire. The area must first be secured in order to begin the actual investigation – that there are no incendiary materials left that would endanger the lives of the law enforcement authorities,” he said.
According to him, experts will be able to determine the cause of the explosion. “In such activities with pyrotechnics, accidents happen, investigators have many times established the cause when there was an accident. It relies on interviews of persons who were not injured in the explosion. Sifting the remains of the accident will determine whether there were ammunition in the warehouse,” commented Marinov.
