Following these terrorist attacks and warnings, millions of Pandits fled their homes in Kashmir and took refuge in various parts of the country.

The film is titled ‘The Kashmir Files’ and is directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnikotri. The film was released in theaters on the 11th. The film has also been given tax breaks by various states including Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, Karnataka and Uttarakhand.
The film has become a hot topic in the political arena as well. Various parties, including the Congress and the BJP, have expressed different views on the film.
In this context, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Rawat has commented on the political issues surrounding the film ‘The Kashmir Files’.
In this regard, he said, it is not right to politicize sensitive issues like the Kashmir issue. ‘The Kashmir Files’ is a movie. I do not believe this will have any political effect on anyone in the elections. The film would have passed in the run-up to the election. Prime Minister Modi and the BJP need to see when the Kashmiris who have left their homes will return to Kashmir.
