News reporters in Ukraine also suffer from the war with Russia. The damage reached as far as the BBC News studio where the reporter discovered that during the broadcast her family’s house was destroyed in the shadow of the Russian soldiers’ shelling.

Ukrainian BBC correspondent Olga Malczewska claimed on the broadcast that “this building is my home”, after previously reporting on the developments and progress of the Russian forces in her country and the great destruction.

After failing to find words, the interviewer, Karin Janiona, who also had difficulty digesting the tragic coincidence, even tried to comfort the guest on the panel who said with great sorrow: “I find it hard to believe that the destruction I see is what was once my home.”

At the same time, the damage was to property only, when to the delight of the journalist and the viewers on the broadcast, Malczewska shared in a live broadcast that she had been informed that all her family members were healthy and intact despite the incident.
