SEXOLOGY – Innovative treatments are gradually emerging to improve erectile dysfunction. Among them, the use of shock waves is perhaps one of the most surprising and promising.

Dr Catherine Solano is a sexologist. Trained in health ethics, she consults in urology at the Cochin hospital in Paris. She is co-founder of Doctical, a telehealth platform that supports people affected by cancer with their intimate health. She is the author of numerous works, including The big book of puberty (Robert Laffont editions).

« Before the shockwaves, I would have given my erection a 4/10. After the sessions, it was more like 7 or 8/10. It hasn’t been magical, but it’s a noticeable improvement », explains Gregory, 39, who benefited from this experimental treatment following a serious motorcycle accident which damaged the tissue of his penis, which crashed on the handlebars.
