jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Jakarta Corruption Crimes Court (Tipikor) held a trial for alleged extortion or extortion at the KPK Detention Center on Monday.

During the trial, witness Dono Purwoko admitted that he had difficulty performing Friday prayers because he had not deposited the monthly money for extortion at the KPK detention center.

Dono, who is a convict in the corruption case of the construction project for the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) Building in North Sulawesi Province, admitted that he had protested the policy to the officers guarding the prison cells.

“Even though I argued a little, I was finally released,” said Dono at the witness examination session.

He said that at that time he was with a prison cellmate, namely Wawan Ridwan, who was a convict in a tax bribery case.

At first, Dono did not know why he was not allowed to perform Friday prayers at that time, so he protested to the guards to be released from the detention cell.

However, after that, he realized that he had not deposited the monthly money because he had moved rooms.

“There was a room that was painted, then we moved in. At that time I was still in isolation, but as far as I remember, I hadn’t paid,” he said.
