jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has delivered a shocking revelation. The 32-year-old forward stated that this season could be his last with Liverpool.
Because, his contract with Liverpool will expire at the end of this season. According to him, there has been no discussion with his club about whether his contract will be extended or not.
Salah was speaking after Liverpool thrashed Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford, in which he scored one goal and provided two assists.
“I had a good summer. I have a long time to stay and think positively, as you know, this is my last year at this club,” Salah told Sky Sports after the match on Monday (2/9).
“I just want to enjoy it. I don’t want to think about it, I feel free to play football and we’ll see what happens next year.”
Liverpool rejected a £150m bid from Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad for Salah in September 2023.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot said he did not want to discuss his player’s future.
“At the moment (Salah) is one of us and I am very happy that he is one of us,” Slot said. “He played very well but I don’t want to talk about contracts.”
