Price hikes in Sri Lanka have started again on the upcoming Tamil-Sinhala New Year.
Outstation wholesalers have said that the price of wheat flour has gone up again this week as one of the wheat flour importers has stopped supplying wheat flour.
The current price of a kilogram of wheat flour, which was 180 rupees last week, has reportedly risen from 210 to 220 rupees.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that wheat flour is being sold at various prices in the Wai district markets as the control price for wheat flour has been removed.
