Pakistan fires female police inspector for stripping naked and dancing at police station in child murder case

The incident of a woman being taken to the police station for interrogation, intimidated by a female police inspector, stripped naked and dancing naked in front of onlookers has caused great controversy.
A child has been killed in a residential complex in the Jinnah Town police station compound in Quetta, southwest of Pakistan’s Balochistan province. A female police officer led by female police inspector Shabana Irshad was brought to the police station to investigate the matter.
In the name of interrogation, Inspector Shabana Irshad and the police intimidated the woman, stripped her naked and made her dance naked in the presence of those present. And they have videotaped the whole incident.
The matter was reported to Deputy IG Mohammad Azhar. He then appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police Bar Gul Darin as a special officer and ordered an immediate inquiry into the complaint.
During the interrogation of the special officer, it was confirmed that female police inspector Shabana Irshad had stripped the woman naked and made her dance. It was further revealed that he had abused his power and engaged in heinous act and had tarnished the image of the police department.
The police immediately sacked female police inspector Shabana Irshad, who has been forced to retire permanently. Also, five female police officers, Pushra Afzal, Huma Faisal, Usma Nasrin, Bara Khalil and Samina Mansoor, have been sacked in connection with the case of torturing a woman in a lock-up.
