Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu visited the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the Moscow and Tula regions, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
As part of his working trip, Shoigu checked the implementation of the state defense order. In Kolomna, the minister supervised the work of the Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering Research and Production Corporation (KBM). It is noted that the minister was shown the latest models of weapons, military and special equipment. Shoigu also inspected the work of the laboratory and testing complex of the enterprise.
In the Tula region, the head of the Ministry of Defense checked the implementation of the state defense order by the Instrument Design Bureau (KBP) named after. A.G. Shipunova. In particular, Shoigu inspected the production lines where lightly armored military equipment is being assembled. The Minister was also shown developments in the field of armored vehicles, rocket, anti-tank and small arms. In addition, Shoigu checked the work of the SPLAV Research and Production Association.
The products of these enterprises are used in the course of a special military operation. Thus, the Kolomna KBM is responsible for the production of Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems. The Tula KBP is the developer and manufacturer of the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems, and the SPLAV is the Grad, Smerch, Hurricane and Tornado MLRS.
