Authorities responded to a shooting at the New Hampshire State Hospital in Concord, New Hampshire, on Friday. According to a law enforcement source who spoke to CNN, the suspect in the shooting is dead after one person was shot in the facility’s lobby.

New Hampshire State Police Director Col. Mark Hall assured the public that the shooting was contained and all patients at the psychiatric facility are safe. Additionally, a suspicious vehicle was located on the scene.

The hospital, located in the central city of Concord, provides treatment for those with acute mental illness. Officials conducted a sweep of the hospital following the incident, according to another law enforcement official who spoke to CNN.

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu confirmed the incident in a statement on Twitter, saying, “First responders and law enforcement are on the scene.” He added, “While the scene remains active as the campus is cleared, the suspect is deceased.
